Quick Answer
To take down your ABCCANOPY canopy, remove accessories first, collapse the frame evenly with two people, and store it completely dry in its carrying bag.
Before You Start
Make sure you:
Choose a flat, clear area
Have at least 2 people (recommended)
Remove all items from under the canopy
Taking down a canopy alone can damage the frame or cause injury.
Step-by-Step: How to Take Down Your Canopy
Step 1 — Remove Accessories
Take off sidewalls, mesh, or curtains
Remove weights, stakes, and ropes
This prevents extra tension on the frame.
Step 2 — Lower the Canopy Legs
Press the leg adjustment buttons
Gradually lower all four legs to the lowest position
Keep all sides even to avoid frame twisting.
Step 3 — Partially Collapse the Frame
Two people stand on opposite sides
Gently push inward at the same time
The frame should begin to fold inward like an accordion.
Step 4 — Remove the Fabric Top (Optional but Recommended)
Detach the canopy top if storing long-term
Fold it neatly to avoid wrinkles or damage
This extends the lifespan of your canopy fabric.
Step 5 — Fully Close the Frame
Continue pushing until the frame is fully compact
Secure it with the strap (if included)
Step 6 — Pack into Storage Bag
Place the frame into the carrying bag
Store fabric separately if possible
Safety Tips You Shouldn’t Ignore
⚠️ Never force the frame closed ⚠️ Keep fingers away from joints and sliders ⚠️ Do not take down during strong wind ⚠️ Always use two people for faster and safer folding

Hi,
My husband Carl Manaster has been communicating with you about a problem we are having with one of our canopies. We took apart one of the mechanisms which slide down the leg. There is a spring in the assembly. Can you seem us a drawing of how the assembly with the spring and if you have a drawing of the other assemblies which make up the canopy that would be helpful.
If you have any questions you can call or text me.

Thank you,

Yesterday we set up/took down our ABC Canopy for the first time. As we attempted to carefully close it (we had 4 people) a large round piece of plastic located at the highest point on inside of tent with (2) screws attached popped out/broke. Your instructions sound easy enough but our experience was otherwise.
